About Us

GDPUK is a news, analysis and opinions site, with a thriving forum for dentists and dental professionals to discuss all aspects of their profession, their practice and their business, centred on the UK. It was launched by dentist Dr Tony Jacobs in 2008, and became a platform that provided a voice for the profession. It regularly publishes exclusive news using its contacts throughout the profession, and has cemented itself as the agenda-setting dental title.

In 2026, it was taken over by Cogora, the home of market-leading publications across primary care, including Pulse, Nursing in Practice, Management in Practice, The Pharmacist, Pulse PCN and Healthcare Leader, as well as two secondary care publications – Hospital Healthcare Europe and Hospital Pharmacy Europe. Cogora also runs hugely successful events across primary care, as well as highly regarded CPD platforms.

Cogora has won countless awards for its original journalism from the British Society of Magazine Editors, the Professional Publishers Association and the Medical Journalists Association among others.
