Bridge2Aid raises £3000 at Showcase

Bridge2Aid gathered over 550 friends and supporters of the charity together at this years’ BDTA Dental Showcase for their Party and Casino night and are delighted to have raised over £3000 towards emergency dental care in Tanzania. Bridge2Aid has also endorsed the ‘Heart Your Smile’campaign.

The fund-raising event was held at the Birmingham NEC Hilton Metropole. It kicked off with a welcome drink, two course buffet dinner, live band, DJ and gambling Vegas style in the Casino, with all proceeds from the sale of tickets and the activities during the party going towards B2A work in Tanzania.

With the majority of guests made up of dental trade, everyone was keen to unwind after a hard two days on their stands, but the band kept the dance floor busy and competition on the casino tables was tough!

Bridge2Aid is also showing its support of the ‘Heart Your Smile’ campaign, by carrying the campaign logo on its website and communicating their messages to its supporters.

Dentist James Goolnik, founder of the ‘Heart Your Smile’ campaign, comments:

“I feel we need to go back to basics. It’s about giving people healthy mouths and smiles and the tools and reasons to maintain them. It’s about minimal invasive, repairable dentistry in a happy fun place to visit and work in. The entire dental industry needs to work cohesively to deliver this to an educated audience who have options. Heart Your Smile will be the recognisable source of inspiration which is designed to stimulate positive conversations in the dental industry.”
