BDA seeks committee nominations

The British Dental Association is calling on dentists to nominate themselves for membership of the General Dental Practice Committee and 12 others representing practitioners working in general practice (including those who are wholly private), as well as other branches of the profession. It is not necessary to be a BDA member to stand for election.

Dentists elected to the committees will serve a three-year term beginning early in 2012.

Peter Ward, Chief Executive of the BDA, said: “The BDA is a democratic organisation that strives hard to represent dentists in all of the crafts across all of the countries of the UK. It is only possible to do that if members of the profession actively engage in the democratic process. I urge all dentists to consider standing for these elections, the winners of which will be helping to shape dentistry in what looks set to be an exciting and pivotal period across the UK.”
