New Board member elected to BDA’s PEC

Shareena Ilyas has been elected unopposed to the London seat on BDA’s Board, the Principal Executive Committee. This position will run until 31 December 2022. She has worked in various general practice posts across London and south England and as well as being a GDP, is a coach/mentor.
Shareena is an associate and an experienced general dental practitioner, having started her career in dentistry in 1998 at St Bart’s & the Royal London Hospital of Medicine & Dentistry. She has said: "This is a challenging time for dentists all over the UK, with London, the area I represent being particularly hard-hit by the COVID-19 outbreak. It's essential that we stand together during this time of national crisis to support one another and the profession."
