Merry Christmas from Bridge2Aid

Merry Christmas from Bridge2Aid
Bridge2Aid has sent the following message to its supporters:

'With 2012 drawing to a close, we are delighted to look back on what has been a very successful year. We are overwhelmed by the support we have received and by the developments of the charity. Looking ahead, we have many exciting plans for 2013, including a pilot programme in Rwanda taking place during June.'

The message continues:

‘Earlier this week we reported that this year alone, an incredible 1,414 patients had been treated in East Africa during our Dental Volunteer Programmes.  What's more, 46 local healthcare workers completed our Dental Training Programme and continue to provide access to safe emergency dentistry in their communities.

‘An estimated 2 million people now have access to dental care because of Bridge2Aid, yet we continue to focus on those still living without access, of whom there are many. Driven by our passion and commitment we hope that this time next year the increase in patients treated and local healthcare workers trained will be significant, and that more communities than ever will be free from dental pain.

‘The generosity of Bridge2Aid's supporters amazes the team every single day. The success of our programmes and fundraising activities are testament to the contributions of time, money and expertise given by individuals who don't have to do what they do for Bridge2Aid, but want to do what they do in order to make an extraordinary difference to those less fortunate than themselves.
