There was a party atmosphere at the Heart Your Smile stand during the 2012 BDA conference, as the team celebrated the launch of official website www.heartyoursmile.co.uk The website is bursting with articles, a blog, photographs and videos, and practitioners are invited to share their stories and charitable events. Delegates ate cake and Jammie Dodgers while they discovered how the campaign is working to encourage people to go to their dentist. |

The Heart Your Smile team spoke with hundreds of delegates about the importance of industry support for the movement to succeed. They discussed the Manifesto for Change, which lists nine key habits to help professionals achieve more job fulfilment, celebrate successes and give back to the community. Delegates who signed up to the Manifesto were given Heart Your Smile badges to wear in the practice.
Dental students and Heart Your Smile trustees ran the stand. One of the students, a part-time pastry chef, made a huge three-tier Heart Your Smile cake and 1,000 pieces were handed out at the exhibition.
Prizes of heart-shaped mugs were awarded for stories that demonstrated how delegates had embraced the Manifesto and the best stories will be added to www.heartyoursmile.co.uk
