The crisis in UK dentistry was raised in the House of Lords when peers raised questions which highlighted to the Government the problems affecting dentists. Dentists from The British Association of Private Dentistry (BAPD) are calling for the resignation of the Chief Dental Officer of NHS England, Sara Hurley, Newsweek reports. The Association announced its vote of no confidence received 97.5% approval after what it called a dental "crisis" caused by the "unnecessary pain and suffering and even life-threatening situations some patients have had to face".
