P171 Talking Fluoridation, a webinar with aims ‘to raise the profile of community water fluoridation amongst all of the dental team, explaining the evidence base simply and comprehensively’.
The webinar will help participants to understand the impact on health and health inequality, and to learn about the benefits of fluoridation for adults and, especially, for children. It will also examine the proposals in the 2022 Health & Care Act and what this may mean for schemes and implementation.
As extractions of carious teeth under general anaesthetic heads the list of reasons for childhood admissions to hospitals, there has never been a more important time for clinicians to be discussing the preventative role played by fluoride with parents together with lobbying at local level for water fluoridation.
A distinguished panel of experts including Sakina Needham RDN, Fiona Ellwood M.Ed LM, PG Cert M Dent FFGDP, Brett Duane, Dr Ray Lowry, Dr Michaela Goodwin, Dr Barry Cockroft CBE, Dr John Morris, Prof Sondos Albadr and Prof Damien Walmsley promise an event of real gravitas.
