Dentaid golf day raises £2300
Midsummer’s Day saw Dentaid supporters gathering at Hamptworth Golf & Country Club in the New Forest to enjoy a round of golf whilst raising valuable funds for Dentaid. This annual event raised over £2300 this year which will be used to sponsor a DentaidBox; a portable dental surgery in a wheelie bin that will enable oral health workers to provide vital, pain relieving dental care to many people in disadvantaged communities.

Dentaid was pleased to welcome teams from Braemar Finance, Henry Schein, Qualident, the MDU and Dental Sky as well as those from various dental practices. Everyone enjoyed lovely weather and excellent golfing conditions, which meant scores were low and the competition tough. The champions were “The Hackers”; a group of dentists (Fred Sjoblom, Nick Priest, Keith Percival and Freddie Hall) who have been supporting the Dentaid Golf Day for many years. They had the honour of taking home the “Golden Molar” trophy.

Dentaid are grateful to A-Dec, Braemar Finance, Lloyd & Whyte and Qualident for their sponsorship of the Golf Day. Dentaid gives special thanks to A-Dec who have given extra support to this project by funding the instrument kit that will be included in the Golf Day sponsored DentaidBox that we plan to send to a rural clinic in Malawi.
