Veteran Olympic and Paralympic dentist Hitesh Mody has been recalled to provide dental care for elite athletes competing in the Commonwealth Games, Glasgow 2014- Scotland’s biggest ever sporting and cultural event. “London 2012 was about inspiring a generation; Glasgow 2014 is about generating an aspiration”, explains Dr Mody.

From London 2012 Games Maker to Clyde Sider; Dr Mody will once again be on duty to 6500 athletes representing 70 Nations in 17 Sports to a global audience of 1.5 billion, over 11 days within the Athletes’ Village, Glasgow. The Queen will officially declare the Games Open on the 23 July 2014, at Celtic Park, Scotland.

MDDUS

In connection with the event the medical defence organisation MDDUS is offering access to indemnity for members working in a voluntary capacity at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games.

MDDUS Head of Professional Services Dr Jim Rodger has assured those members who are volunteering that they will be able to access MDDUS indemnity. “Many of our members will be providing medical assistance during the event on a voluntary basis,” says Dr Rodger.
